| Par 1 VLADIMIR DE PACHMANN was born at Odessa on 27th July 1848. At the age of 18 he had already given public proof of his talent. He completed his musical education at Vienna, studying harmony and fugue with Anton Bruckner. After that, he began the career of concert artist that would lead to world-wide celebrity. In 1870 he had the opportunity to hear the great Tausig, who impressed him very much with his technique, and inspired him to acquire greater perfection. At age 30 he went to Leipzig, where he gave a concert under the direction of Carl Reinecke. At Paris he played in the concerts directed by Pasdeloup, arousing lively enthusiasm. From Paris he went on to London; and there he was received with that ardent affection which is always spirited for him. | Par 1 VLADIMIRO DE PACHMANN nacque a Odessa il 27 Iuglio 1848.
